RUGBY WORLD CUP 2023 SEMI FINAL : ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA – 21/10/2023

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2023 SEMI FINAL : ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA – 21/10/2023

IF YOU DIDN’T SEE THE ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA RUGBY MATCH LAST NIGHT – FEAR NOT!  WE HAVE IT RIGHT HERE FOR YOU!  IT HAD EVERYTHING! SUPER-DUPER SKILLS (ON BOTH SIDES) WITH ALL PLAYERS ROUGH, TOUCH AND BIG ENOUGH, AND DESPERATELY WANTING TO WIN, WITH TEMPERS SPILLING OVER SLIGHTLY AT TIMES ADDING A BIT OF DRAMA (A.K.A. ARGEY-BARGEY!)

RUGBY WORLD CUP 2023 – ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA – 21/10/2023

THERE WAS SO MUCH PHYSICALITY IN FACT, THAT SOUTH AFRICA MUST HAVE GONE OFF SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS AT HALF-TIME, AFTER A TOTALLY DOMINANT PERFORMANCE BY ENGLAND, (ENGLAND 12 – SOUTH AFRICA 6 AT HALF-TIME) ADMITTING THEMSELVES THAT ENGLAND “WERE ALL OVER THEM.”  BUT THEY MUST HAVE REALISED THAT THEY NEEDED TO COME UP WITH ANOTHER STRATEGY TO ‘OUTFLANK’ ENGLAND – AND ‘OUTFLANK’ THEY DID AT 68 MINS, WITH SNYMAN SCORING A TRY, CHANGING THE MOMENTUM OF THE GAME.)

OWEN FARRELL AND STEVE BORTHWICK SPEAK OF HEARTBREAK FOLLOWING THE MATCH

OWEN FARRELL REFLECTS ON THE ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA GAME

OWEN FARRELL REFLECTS ON THE ‘NEAR FISTICUFFS’ INCIDENT IN THE GAME “IT WAS NOTHING…”

WHEN YOU HEAR STEVE BORTHWICK SPEAKING AFTER THE GAME ABOUT WHEN IT WILL BE TIME TO ‘ANALYSE’ THE GAME BUT CHOOSING TO PRIORITISE HIS PRIDE FOR HIS TEAM FIRST – WELL, CONGRATULATIONS, AND DITTO. WE ARE EXTREMELY PROUD TOO!

WITH THE SKILLS AND PROWESS OF SUCH WORLD CLASS PLAYERS ON BOTH SIDES MUCH OF A MUCHNESS, BUT, EXCEPTIONAL NONETHELESS, AND WITH A LOSS OF SUCH A FINE MARGIN, THERE’S NO NEED TO ANALYSE THE GAME FOR A REASON FOR THE LOSS – BECAUSE MAYBE, THERE ISN’T ONE.

IT COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY.
