WELL, WELL, WELL, WHAT A GAME FOR NEWCASTLE LAST NIGHT IN THEIR 2 – 0 WIN AGAINST ARSENAL! THIS MEANS THAT A 70 YEAR END TO A DROUGHT IN SILVERWARE COULD BE IN SIGHT FOR THE MAGPIES! IT WAS THE SEVENTH WIN IN A ROW FOR NEWCASTLE WITH ALEXANDER ISAK AND ANTHONY GORDON SEEMINGLY IN TOTAL SYNC WITH EACH OTHER, WITH ISAK RUNNING RIOT IN THE FIRST HALF, SCORING A BEAUTY AT 37 MINS. (HIS 10TH GOAL IN HIS LAST 9 GAMES) AND THEN, HAVING ANOTHER GO, DANCING THROUGH SEVERAL PAIRS OF ARSENAL LEGS IN THE 51ST MINUTE AND FIRING A BRILLIANT SHOT WHICH WAS WELL-SAVED BY ARSENAL’S DAVID RAYA, BUT THEN REBOUNDED RIGHT INTO A WAITING ANTHONY GORDON’S VICINITY, WHO FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH A BRILLIANT GOAL! IN TOTAL NEWCASTLE HAD 7 SHOTS, WITH 5 ON TARGET, AND ARSENAL HAD 23 SHOTS, WITH 3 ON TARGET, (WITH 70% POSSESSION) WITH GABRIEL MARTINELLI HITTING THE POST, AND KAI HAVERTZ TRYING TO ‘HEAD THE BALL’ FROM HIS SHOULDER – WHICH WENT WIDE. ARSENAL ARE ALSO SEEMINGLY FEELING THE PINCH FROM ALL THE INJURIES THEY HAVE RECENTLY SUSTAINED, AND ADDITIONALLY, MIKEL ARTETA SAID THAT THE BALL USED IN THE CARABAO CUP (MADE BY PUMA) FEELS DIFFERENT TO THE BALL USED IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE (MADE BY NIKE), SO THE PLAYERS NEED TO ADAPT TO THAT. SO ARSENAL DIDN’T HAVE A GREAT DAY AT THE OFFICE LAST NIGHT, BUT NEWCASTLE DID! AND THAT’S THE BEAUTIFUL GAME FOR YOU – WHICH IS WHY WE LOVE IT SO MUCH, BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS GOING TO WIN!
